Michael Owen looks ahead to Newcastle United v Everton

Michael Owen believes that there will not be too many goals in today’s Premier League game between Newcastle United and Everton.

Former Manchester United and Liverpool star Michael Owen does not expect too many goals in today’s Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Everton at St. James’ Park.

‘Both clubs have lost their two previous games over the Xmas period and I don’t expect to see many goals at St James’s Park,” the 35-year-old, a former Newcastle striker, wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Blues have only won one of their last seven PL away games and four of the last five games at St James’s Park have been settled by the only goal of the game.”

Both Newcastle and Everton are struggling for points at the moment, and Owen’s prediction is likely to come true.

While Alan Pardew’s side will head into today’s match placed 10th in the Premier League table with 23 points from 18 matches, the Toffees currently find themselves 12th with 21 points.

The match at St. James’ Park promises to be fiercely competitive and could be decided by a single goal.
