Celtic fans react on Twitter to John Guidetti's brace at St Mirren

The Manchester City loanee scored twice as the Bhoys won 2-1 in the SPL.

It very nearly didn't happen - but John Guidetti is shining after his loan move to Celtic came through earlier this month.

The Bhoys were granted special dispensation by FIFA to sign the 22-year-old from Manchester City after the transfer deadline had passed and the Swede hasn't looked back since.

It took Guidetti until today to score his first SPL goal for the club, however, but when his goalscoring touch came, it came at the double, with the striker's brace giving Celtic all three points at St Mirren.

The result takes the Bhoys to fourth in the Scottish Premier League, five points off league leaders Dundee United. Ronny Deila's men do have a game in hand, though.

All in all, it's been a great week for Guidetti, who made his full Celtic debut last week, scored in the cup three days later and has now proven a matchwinner for the Bhoys.

On his performance, boss Deila told reporters: "He has qualities, we know it and we're going to make him better.

"You have to understand the game in Scotland. You have to run and fight and I said to him today that's the first thing you have to start with and he was agreeing.”

Celtic fans were understandably pleased with the 22-year-old's performance and many have called for the forward to be brought to Celtic Park on a permanent basis. Here are some of the best fan reactions on Twitter...
