Nottingham Forest fans react on Twitter to Kelvin Wilson performance v Middlesbrough

Nottingham Forest Stadium Night

The Forest defender was sent off during the 3-0 Boxing Day defeat at Middlesbrough.

When will Nottingham Forest's woes end?

Stuart Pearce's side are still seven points off the play-offs and the gulf in class between Forest and the Championship's form sides looked greater than ever as they were thumped 3-0 at Middlesbrough on Boxing Day.

Many fans are now genuinely saying that relegation is more of a possibility than promotion (Forest are 11 points off the drop) and Pearce's men have not won in five - over a timespan of more than a month.

"We're just suffering with a lack of confidence and composure on the ball at the moment," the Nottingham Forest boss is quoted as saying by BBC Sport after the 3-0 reverse at Middlesbrough.

"We were hoping to come here and hurt Boro on the break and we had opportunities to do that but couldn't find that killer pass."

Forest, of course, weren't helped against Aitor Karanka's in-form side when defender Kelvin Wilson was sent off for two bookable offences.

And many supporters chose to aim their frustration at him when discussing the defeat on Twitter after the game.

Nottingham Forest's loss was Middlesbrough's gain - and some fans believe the only positive to come from their 3-0 defeat is the fact that Wilson will be suspended for their next Championship clash!
