The 23-year-old Leeds loanee hit the jackpot for Crewe Alexandra on Boxing Day.
As Leeds United's misery continued on Boxing Day, striker Nicky Ajose, who left the Yorkshire side on loan last month, was a match winner for Crewe Alexandra.
The Leeds loanee netted twice for the Railwaymen, with his second being a 30-yard wondergoal that lobbed the opposing goalkeeper.
How unlucky for United, then, that their goalscoring woes continued but a forward they loaned out was on the scoresheet (even though it was in a lower division).
"I spotted the keeper off his line and wondered whether Nicky had seen the same thing. He obviously had because it was an inch-perfect shot and a great finish from the lad," Crewe boss Steve Davis said of the Leeds loanee.
"I could have taken him off when we went down to 10 men but I felt he might get us a goal and I'm glad I made that decision.
"He can still contribute more to the team with his all-round game but I'm not complaining after a goal of that nature."
Noel Hunt and Scott Wootton also played for their respective sides, without scoring.
