Ajose is currently enjoying a successful spell at Crewe Alexandra.
Leeds United were beaten yet again yesterday, this time falling at home to Wigan Athletic 2-0. the result means they have not won in four games, since defeating Derby County at the end of November.
But as they struggled once again a player they sent out on loan recently was once again in top form.
Ajose was signed by Leeds United in the summer but was not used by the club, spending most of his time watching from the sidelines.
So he was allowed to join Crewe on loan at the end of last month, on a deal until the start of January.
He has certainly been a hit at Gresty Road.
In his four games for the club he has scored three goals, including an excellent brace against Oldham Athletic yesterday.
With that in mind it is obvious he will be linked with a return to Leeds when his loan deal comes to an end. However Crewe will also be keen to keep hold of him.
Last night Ajose addressed his future after the game. As reported by the Crewe Chronicle, Ajose said:
“It’s down to Steve Davis [Crewe manager] and Leeds what they want to do, I don’t know what’s been said. I just want to concentrate on the games and after the Preston game we will reassess it.
“I hadn’t played since September so it’s taken me a little time to get up to speed. I feel I’m still miles away from where I can be but I’m contributing to the team and long may that continue.
“I know I can play a lot better and have more to offer but as long as we’re getting results like we are then I’ll happily be the poorest player on the pitch if we’re winning. That’s the most important thing.”
With the form he is currently showing, don't be surprised if Leeds welcome him back with open arms.
