Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has been singing the praises of teammate Diego Costa.
Spain international striker Costa has been in brilliant form so far this season and has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
In 15 league appearances, the 26-year-old has scored 13 goals and created 28 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 68%.
One of those goals came in the 2-0 win against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day, leading Cahill to shower praise on the former Atletico Madrid star.
“Diego is a top player and he is producing some magic out there and his goal was a fantastic individual piece of play,” Chelsea’s official website quotes the England international as saying.
“We won the ball back and counter-attacked and the rest was down to him.”
Costa has been one of the signings of the season and is a key figure in Chelsea’s success so far this campaign.
The 26-year-old will be back in action on Sunday when Chelsea take on Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.
One should not be surprised if Costa scores yet another brilliant goal.
