Eriksen & Kane have now scored 50% of Tottenham's league goals

Christian Eriksen and Soldado Spurs

The Spurs duo have been immense this Premier League season. But is that good or bad?

How many times has Harry Kane struck for Tottenham Hotspur this season, with team-mate Christian Eriksen following up by adding to the north London side's tally?

Quite a few, to say the least.

The 21-year-old striker and 22-year-old midfielder have been simply sensational for Spurs so far this term and their importance simply cannot be denied.

As Opta stats show, meanwhile, the key duo have now scored 50 per cent of Tottenham's league goals.

Christian Eriksen 7 18
Nacer Chadli 6 15
Harry Kane 5 14
Emmanuel Adebayor 2 10
Eric Dier 2 12
Erik Lamela 1 18
Roberto Soldado 1 12

Out of 24 Spurs goals this campaign, Eriksen has scored seven and Kane five. That is a quite remarkable statistic.

But is that good or bad?

Every team needs a talisman and to have two is a big bonus. Tottenham have needed goalscorers for some time so they cannot complain when two of their players score so often.

And yet Mauricio Pochettino's side surely can't deny allegations of now over-relying on Kane and Eriksen in front of goal.

The north London side used to rely on Gareth Bale and his exit hurt Spurs deeply. So what's the verdict on their new main men?
