This afternoon will see Newcastle United take on Manchester United in a popular Premier League tie which usually spells drama.
Newcastle's topsy-turvy form has seen another dip recently. Three defeats on the bounce see them go into the game with in-form Manchester United as the undoubted underdogs.
But they have recently proved themselves against Chelsea, however that was at St James Park. Today they travel to Old Trafford and for one of their players it is a chance to go head-to-head against his former international coach.
Daryl Janmaat was a regular choice in The Netherlands side under LvG and played a key role in the Dutch side that made it to the World Cup semi-finals against Argentina.
His form saw him sign for Newcastle in a reported £5 million deal from Feyenoord.
Nowadays he is no longer in the Dutch squad. A mistake against the Czech Republic saw Guus Hiddink drop him and so far he has not returned.
So to see the boss who wants had good faith in him on an international will probably be a good moment for the player, even if it does give him the odd flashback...
