Gary Neville was very pleased with the all-round play of the Colombian striker.
When Manchester United snapped up Radamel Falcao in the summer it was certainly a gamble. The striker was coming off the back of another serious injury in his career and many thought that perhaps, his time had gone.
But nobody ever doubted his goalscoring prowess. The Colombian has bagged goals at all levels across several different leagues in Europe and that was probably what went through Louis van Gaal's head when he decided to bring him in on loan from AS Monaco.
Unfortunately it has looked like something of a dud. He has struggled to stay fit, as many predicted, so has therefore been written off by many a pundit already.
But he has recently fought hard to get back into full fitness. Today he certainly looked like something like his best. He also proved that goalscoring is not the only attribute that he has.
He set up the first goal for Wayne Rooney and then made an excellent tackle to give possession to Juan Mata, who laid the ball on a plate for Rooney's second.
One man who was impressed with the performance was Manchester United legend Gary Neville. The player turned pundit shared on Twitter his joy at the performance of Falcao, which helped United pick up another vital three points.
