The Atletico Madrid man has stated that once he had the option to seal a switch to Liverpool his mind was made up.
"I'm flattered by interest from other teams, but when the Liverpool offer came through, I had no doubts,” Manquillo told Marca.
“It was the best option, the one that appealed to me the most. All players want to play for the best teams and I think that anyone else in my boots would've made the same decision.
"Joining a big club like Liverpool didn't frighten me. It's a decision that can only help me improve as a player, which is what this is all about.
"I came here to get more playing time than at Atlético and things are going very well for me so far.”
His last appearance for Liverpool came in the 3-1 win over Leicester on December 2.
