The 21-year-old is almost ready to return to action.
Liverpool won all three points at Burnley on Boxing Day - which was a welcome relief for Brendan Rodgers' team.
The Anfield side's performance, however, was far from relieving for Liverpool fans. In fact, any worries about Rodgers' men will have only resurfaced and been strengthened by the tepid manner in which they went forward at Burnley.
Raheem Sterling scored for the Reds in the second half, as they kept a rare clean sheet and won 1-0 at Turf Moor.
But creativity, enginuity, pace, urgency and so much more were lacking for Liverpool... Could the return of Suso help them?
Before Sterling opened the scoring for Rodgers' side, the 21-year-old wonderkid took to Twitter to deliver a positive injury update, having recently completed his first training session in months.
Come on boys one goal in the second half !! And for those asking I'm not involved in the game as you see.I did my first session yesterday— SusoFernandez (@suso30oficial) December 26, 2014
Suso, of course, wasn't a regular in the Liverpool side before he got injured and so may, in fact, not make too much of a difference at all at Anfield.
Rodgers, however, never really gave the 21-year-old a regular run of games for the Reds. Considering their problems so far this season, the Spaniard will no doubt add some creativity and energy to this Liverpool side.
