Manchester City will look to end 2014 on a high, but they will have to do so without any strikers as Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic remain sidelined.
West Brom were given Christmas Day afternoon off, which may have left them in good spirits despite losing 3-2 to Queens Park Rangers last weekend. Things look somewhat ominous as the Midlands outfit have won just one of their last seven league games and in fact have been victorious at home just four times in the league in the whole of 2014.
Despite City's lack of firepower at present they have pieced together a run of eight consecutive wins in all competitions, have netted in 14 successive Premier League matches and present a fierce challenge. They will be determined not to slip up as they continue in pursuit of Chelsea.
