Ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Queens Park Rangers, we bring you some interesting Opta Stats.

Arsenal begin their crowded festive schedule as they welcome Queens Park Rangers to the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day.

Here are the top five statistics ahead of the festive London derby:

1 - Arsenal have only ever lost one Premier League match on Boxing Day (W11 D5 L1). QPR, on the other hand, have won none of their three Premier League matches on this day (W0 D1 L2). Harry Redknapp's side will be hoping to bring an end to this run as they travel to the Emirates.

2 - Santi Cazorla has had a hand in five goals (three goals, two assists) in his last five Premier League appearances for Arsenal. In his previous nine appearances he hadn't participated in a single goal for the Gunners. Nominated as the club's Player of the Month for December, he has weighed in with three goals and one assist during the festive period.

TeamGoalsAssistsShots per GameKey Passes per GameAppearances
Santiago Cazorla Arsenal 3 1 3.25 2.25 4
Alexis Sánchez Arsenal 1 3 1.5 3.25 4

3 - Charlie Austin is the top-scoring English player in the Premier League this season (11). Only five English players scored 11+ Premier League goals in 2013-14. Furthermore, as it stands, Austin is the top flight's third highest scorer, and the fifth most clinical striker, having converted 19% of his total scoring opportunities.

  TeamChance Conversion (%)GoalsAppearances
Alexis Sánchez Arsenal 21 9 16
Charlie Austin QPR 19 11 15

4 - QPR have lost five successive Premier League London derbies and are winless in their last seven (L5 D2). Arsenal, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last 11 London derbies at the Emirates Stadium (W8 D3 L0). Queens Park Rangers have failed to score in five of their six Premier League visits to Arsenal, the exception being a 3-1 win in December 1994.

5 - Worryingly for Rangers fans, the club have lost all eight of their away league matches, getting outscored 21-3, and have yet to hold a lead at any point in any league match outside Loftus Road this season. Nonetheless, the Gunners have only won four of their eight home encounters so far this season.
