Chelsea morning news: Mourinho on Allardyce, Cech's agent drops hint

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said he respects Sam Allardyce after criticising him last season.

Mourinho reacted angrily to a 0-0 draw against the Hammers, which saw him accuse them of playing ‘19th Century’ football.

“Yeah, stupid, silly words - I’m happy that he’s doing well with West Ham. I think he deserves respect. He has my respect,” said the boss.

Petr Cech’s agent has strongly hinted that his client could be a target for Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Cech has been Chelsea’s back up to Thibaut Courtois this season, as speculation persists over whether he’ll stick it out at the club.

“The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title, but Liverpool need to strengthen their position in-goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer,” said his agent.

Fernando Torres is on the verge of a move back to Atletico Madrid according to reports.

The Spaniard has been on loan at AC Milan from Chelsea, agreeing to a two-year loan last summer.

However, all parties appear to have worked out an agreement which will see Torres head back to his old La Liga club.
