The young Legia Warsaw defensive midfielder has already visited England and met with the management at Arsenal who have convinced him that a move to the Emirates is best for his career.
Despite making just five appearances for the Legia first-team, the 16-year-old - who has been likened to Gunners legend Patrick Viera - is reportedly now set to sign the deal that will take him to North London for a fee believed to be in the region of £1.5 million. The only doubt concerning the deal was whether Bielik would be moving in January, or over the summer, as his family are moving too and they were concerned about settling in if he transferred during the winter months with the season very much in full swing.
However, talks with Arsene Wenger, Wojciech Szczesny and Lukas Podolski seem to have cleared his mind, and reports have now indicated that he is all set to complete his deal when he watches the Gunners take on QPR on Boxing Day.
Speaking to Legionisci, Bielika admitted that he is slightly scared to be making the switch to North London at such a young age, although he has expressed a confidence in his own abilities.
The youngster said: “I confess that I'm a little bit afraid. Only a madman would have no concerns. However, you have to be confident, and I'm sure in myself and my abilities.”
Bielik is set to fill in the defensive midfield void absent in the Gunners ranks, and, should he develop with the promise shown in his youth, Arsenal could finally have found the long-term replacement for Viera. However, the Legia man has admitted that playing for Arsenal has never been his dream, with only Manchester City interesting him in England - and Real Madrid the true ideal club to turn out for later in his career.
“Playing for Arsenal was never my dream,” he continued. “But of course it is a great club, and I can only be proud of the fact that such a powerful team are interested in me. In the English league I'm mostly fan of Manchester City, but only because there plays my idol - Yaya Toure.
“My biggest dream, however, is to be in the colours of Real Madrid.”
