Manchester United v Newcastle United (Boxing Day)
Newcastle United have lost their last three games in all competitions, and they are likely to go down to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
Louis van Gaal’s side failed to win against Aston Villa at Villa Park at the weekend, but they will certainly fancy their chances against a Magpies side conceding goals left, right and centre.
Alan Pardew’s players should be able to raise their game at Old Trafford, but it is very unlikely that they will be able to match the United stars.
Newcastle United v Everton (Sunday)
Newcastle will fancy their chances against Everton at home and will be keen on returning to winning ways at St. James’ Park.
Having lost the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland at the weekend, the Magpies will be determined to recover in style in front of their fans.
It will not be easy for Newcastle, though, as Everton have top-four ambitions, but they should just about dig up a win.
Newcastle United v Burnley (New Year’s Day)
Burnley have shown some signs of recovery in recent weeks, but Clarets are still one of the favourites to suffer relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.
Newcastle will be relishing the prospect of starting the New Year with what is an easy game on paper.
Pardew’s men should be looking for a comprehensive win, which could reignite their chances of a top-five finish in the Premier League.
