Tennis star Andy Murray posed for a Christmas Day photo with his brother Jamie showing off his new Arsenal shirt.
The Scottish tennis player is a talented footballer himself, and was once asked to train with Glasgow Rangers at their school of Excellence.
His career choice obviously turned out for the better, however, as the 27-year-old has since become a two-time Grand Slam winner and is now widely regarded as one of the best ever British tennis stars.
But the football fanatic inside of Murray remains, and he openly admits his fondness for Arsenal, once stating representing the North London outfit would be a dream come true.
'It would have been great to play for Hibernian, but the ultimate would be Arsenal', Murray told the Daily Mail in 2012. (I’d want to play like) Jack Wilshere. Pulling strings in midfield, but not afraid to get stuck in'.
He may have wanted to play like Jack Wilshere, but his new Christmas gift may suggest Murray has a new favourite player at the Emirates stadium. The Scotsman stood proud donning his new Arsenal shirt, pointing his thumbs at the Alexis Sanchez name and number 17 on the back.
The Chilean international has won a whole host of new supporters at Arsenal this season. Dubbed ‘inconsistent’ by the outspoken Joey Barton earlier this season, Sanchez’s nine goals and five assists in 15 league starts proves he is nothing of the sort.
