Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has been speaking ahead of the club’s festive fixtures.
Spurs take on Leicester City on Boxing Day before they host Manchester United and Chelsea in quick succession, but the Spanish striker is not looking too far ahead for now.
In an interview with Tottenham’s official website, Soldado said, “We have some big games coming up. Leicester is a very important match for us, which we need to win away from home.
“We know that, on the pitch, three points will be very important for us ahead of Manchester United and then Chelsea at home.”
Tottenham have had a hit-and-miss season to date but their recent results suggest 2015 could be one to savour for the White Hart Lane faithful.
There is already the good news of DeAndre Yedlin’s imminent arrival, while their defence looks considerably sturdier than it did just a few weeks ago and the club’s young players are continuing to impress, especially Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen.
But Soldado will hope he can kick on in 2015, having scored only four goals this season and only 15 since he arrived in North London for a reported £26million from La Liga.
