Report - Arsenal mentioned in meeting over Mattia Destro's future

Arsenal Stadium - Emirates

The agent of reported Arsenal target Mattia Destro has had talks with Roma over the forward's future according to sources from Italy.

Italian source TMW claims Roma held talks with Mattia Destro’s agent over the forward’s future yesterday and Arsenal came up.

The £15 million rated Roma star has been linked with a move to the Gunners and TMW claims there is now a very realistic chance that the Serie A side will sell him, as he’s become frustrated over his role with the club.

Whether Arsenal need another forward is extremely doubtful considering talented attacking star Joel Campbell is struggling to get a game with the North Londoners at the moment.

That creates a debate over how hard Arsenal would push against the other side reportedly mentioned in the meeting; AC Milan.

Milan represent a huge side capable of investing in this sort of deal and they also provide Destro with the possibility of staying in Italy and proving Roma wrong.

Arsenal arguably have more pressing concerns to address in their first team squad, with a defender and a holding midfielder needed more than another option for Arsene Wenger up front.
