Boxing Day is one of the biggest days of fixtures in the Premier League calendar and it’s a great chance for teams to start the festive period with a bang.
Chelsea and Manchester City are fighting hard at the top of the table, with the Blues ahead by just three points and City breathing down their necks. Chelsea will have to play well in a difficult game against West Ham United to keep their noses in front.
Manchester United dropped points in their last game but had you offered the club third place at Christmas, they would have taken it considering how the start of the season panned out. United look good to consolidate their position in the top four heading into January.
Burnley, Hull City and Leicester City are the sides occupying the wrong three places at the other end of the table. Leicester are furthest adrift with a five point gap and 11 defeats, which is a record they need to start improving on.
