PHOTO: Liverpool's Mario Balotelli appears to support winter break

Mario Balotelli wrapped himself up against the Liverpool elements on Christmas Eve, with Brendan Rodgers readying his side for a meeting with Burnley.

Hat? Check. Scarf? Check. Gloves? Check. Leggings? Check. Right, let’s go.

Mario Balotelli must have taken as long getting ready for training on Christmas Eve as he did out on the field, with the Liverpool striker wrapping up warm against the Merseyside elements.

It is probably safe to assume that the £16 million frontman would be in support of a winter break in the Premier League, allowing him to head for sunnier climes as the winter chill begins to bite.

He is, however, having to ready himself for a meeting with Burnley on Boxing Day, with the Italy international hoping to open his top-flight goal account for the Reds at Turf Moor.

Plenty of gloves are likely to be on show again in that contest, while Brendan Rodgers may have to pack some of the seasonal headwear he sported on Wednesday as he prepares to make the short trip to a North West rival.
