Five players who should leave Tottenham Hotspur in January - Kaboul and Paulinho included

We take a look at five players who might want to head out of White Hart Lane this winter.

The January window is approaching and with that comes plenty of transfer incomings across the Premier League.

It also means plenty of outgoings as well. So who should leave Tottenham Hotspur in January?

Here are five suggestions..

Younes Kaboul

He may be the team captain but at the moment he is not being used an awful lot by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

With good reason as well. On his day Kaboul can be great, but those days have become rare and he is rightly not in the starting Tottenham XI.

Not only should he consider leaving, but Tottenham should consider selling him before his contract expires in the summer.

Vlad Chiriches

We have seen him at right-back, we have seen him at centre-back but no matter where Chiriches plays he does not look cut our for Premier League football.

The Italian game suits him more and he has been linked with the likes of Roma and Inter Milan.

It might be best if he just left.

Emmanuel Adebayor

Yes he is still at Tottenham. Adebayor has barely featured in recent months and when he has he has been poor.

Another club bites the dust springs to mind, but who will gamble on him next?

Paulinho

A Brazilian regular, the dynamic midfielder was hot property when Tottenham snapped him up. For some reason it hasn't worked at Spurs and now he is looking like a frustrated fringe figure.

A return to Brazil is being mooted and he might just be one of those Brazilians that is not cut our for leaving the domestic game.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto

It is time for the Cameroonian to finally find the exit door. Little more needs to be said.

Other Potentials: Andros Townsend, Kyle Naughton, Etienne Capoue, Aaron Lennon.
