A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho has ruled out the possibility of Chelsea signing Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Messi has been linked with Chelsea in the past and there have been reports that Cesc Fabregas wants the Argentine to move to Stamford Bridge.
“No, I have no chance of that. Because at this moment there is financial fair play and with the financial fair play we have to follow certain rules,” said the boss.
Mourinho has also revealed his biggest current influence as his wife.
Mourinho has explained how his wife’s competitive nature has rubbed off on him professionally.
“She knows nothing about football, she doesn't like football, but she's very intelligent and she helped me on many occasions during my career, in the sense of modelling my personality. She's very competitive. I think she's the one,” he said.
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has talked up the club’s chances of winning the quadruple.
The Blues are being tipped to become the first side in English football to hold all four trophies open to top flight teams in the country.
“I think it's possible to win the quadruple. We have a chance. I don't want to say that we're going to win it but we're going to try,” said Serbian.
