Chelsea v West Ham United (Boxing Day)
Chelsea are on a four-game winning run, and one suspects that they will extend it to five on Boxing Day.
West Ham United are having a great season and will make it tough for the Blues at Stamford Bridge, but Jose Mourinho’s side should be able to pick up all three points.
The Blues are a vastly superior team and playing at home is only going to give them more advantage.
Southampton v Chelsea (Sunday)
Southampton have not looked good in recent weeks and have folded against the bigger sides in the Premier League, and that is likely going to be the case against Chelsea.
Playing at St. Mary’s Stadium against a rampant Chelsea side will be a comfort, but that is still not going to make up for the difference in class between the two teams.
Chelsea are not going to find it easy, but they should have enough to register a win at Southampton.
Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea (New Year’s Day)
The two sides met at Stamford Bridge at the start of December. On that occasion, Chelsea overpowered Tottenham Hotspur 3-0, thanks to goals from Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba and Loic Remy.
Chelsea will be favourites to win against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on New Year’s Day, but they are unlikely to find it too easy and are likely to drop points.
With Spurs having picked up momentum and playing with confidence at the moment, they should be able to draw with their London rivals.
