DeAndre Yedlin will link up with Tottenham Hotspur in January.
Tottenham have confirmed new signing DeAndre Yedlin will arrive in January.
The American international had been due to sign in the summer having had the transfer agreed after the World Cup.
Spurs beat off competition from Roma to sign him but allowed him to remain at Seattle Sounders for the rest of the season.
Now he has said his goodbyes and clinched a work permit, and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino explained the decision to bring him over early.
He said: "DeAndre Yedlin is a young player with great potential who has already achieved a lot in MLS.
"“It is important for his development that he is given the time to adapt to his new surroundings both on and off the pitch.
"We believe that by coming to us in January it will give him the best opportunity to do so."
