Inter push for Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah on loan

Despite Jose Mourinho's insistence he's staying put, the Italian press believe Inter are trying to take the Egyptian on loan from January.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho seemed to emphatically rule out Mohamed Salah leaving Stamford Bridge, but rumours persist that a loan is on the cards.

Salah arrived at Chelsea for £11 million last January with high hopes of a stellar future at the club, but he has been limited to very few minutes of game time.

It has been suggested that Salah would benefit from a temporary switch to another club to gain some experience, but Mourinho appeared to rule that out.

Salah is our player, he is a player we like and a player we trust,” Mourinho explained on Chelsea's website. ‘He is a player in our squad and he is going nowhere. He doesn’t go for sure. Maybe he moves house, but not club!”

But that statement hasn't drawn a line under the rumours and Italian reports state that new Inter boss Roberto Mancini is determined to bring Salah in on loan.

Some Italian sources believe that Mourinho's statement was a bluff, recalling when the Special One rejected talk of Fernando Torres leaving just days before he agreed to sign for AC Milan.

Inter are in need of some creativity and Salah could get a chance to feature in the first team on a regular basis in one of Europe's top leagues.
