A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was full of praise for his team after their 2-0 win at Stoke.
The three points means the Blues top the table for Christmas ahead of the Boxing Day games.
“Every one of them did their job perfectly. We made some changes to the normal way of playing, to adapt to playing in such a difficult stadium,” said Mourinho.
Petr Cech’s agent has played down the idea he could leave Chelsea this January.
There has been speculation linking the Czech with a potential loan move to Liverpool.
“It's unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window,” Viktor Kolar told the Mirror.
Mourinho has received praise from Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson.
Fergie has paid tribute to Mourinho’s quality despite him never having played the game to a high level.
“He (Mourinho) has got a determination, he wants to be a coach. He never played the game, by the way – you tell me how many presidents would give a manager a job who has never played the game? None. But he has done it,” said Ferguson.
