Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Berahino deal closer? Mancini on Lennon rumours

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are close to a deal for Saido Berahino of West Brom.

The Daily Mail has suggested that concerns over Southampton star Jay Rodriguez’s fitness have prompted Mauricio Pochettino to focus on the England man.

Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has played down his side’s interest in Spurs winger Aaron Lennon.

Lennon has been suggested as a possible winter signing for the Serie A giants.

“Lennon? We have not talked about him. This is not part of our plans, but there will probably be other players if we can get them,” he’s quoted by FourFourTwo.

DeAndre Yedlin has a work permit, which allows him to start work with Tottenham this January.

There has been speculation over whether the American would link up with the club this winter or this summer.

However, the permit means he’s eligible to start games for the club from next month.
