Sofitel Bruxelles Le Louise, Brussels: hotel review

Unlike a lot of large chain hotels the Sofitel Bruxelles Le Louise offers a personal touch, from the well mannered valet at the front door through to the champagne, chocolates and strawberries laid out before bed.

Sofitel Entrance

Sofitel Brussels is cleverly positioned in the lively European District, just minutes away from favourited tourist spots, leafy parks, trendy cafes, museums and some of the worlds largest and most prestigious design houses.

This 5 star hotel was designed by highly acclaimed architect Antoine Pintois, and will command your attention from the moment you step through the door. The bold design runs through every aspect of the hotel from the giant crystal chandelier that awaits at the entrance to the quality marble flooring, textured wallpapers, and plush and beautifully oversized furnishings . Every inch of this luxury hotel has been well thought out with no expense spared. The interior design could be described as French provincial with modern, contemporary accents, pops of mauve and purple add warmth and the art choices are sophisticated and intriguing.

Sofitel Bar

You can expect to meet a variety of people, from families with children, couples getting cosy in the bar, to groups of business people carrying laptop cases milling around the lobby. This hotel is certainly big enough for everyone.

We were very happy in our spacious Superior Double Room furnished with modern statement armchairs and lamps, leather headboards, sheer curtains and a plush feather duvet and pillows on the king size bed. With the equally spacious and beautifully designed bathroom fully stocked with exclusive Hermes bath products and fluffy bathrobes we could not help but feel pampered and spoilt. Extra features included free wifi, mini bar, snacks upon arrival, Nespresso machine, and a large flat screen TV.

Food & Drink

It’s all about the cocktails… oh and the stunning views from the outdoor terrace! The Crystal Lounge restaurant and bar creates cocktails that look just as magnificent as they taste, served by charming bar-staff with complimentary snacks, it is all too easy to spend your evening sampling their wares. We did just that and we didn't regret it!
