Reports: Hatem Ben Arfa in talks over Nice transfer after failed Hull move

Reports in France speculate that Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa is in talks with Nice.

It's all gone horribly wrong for Hatem Ben Arfa this seaseon, with his loan spell at Hull City has been nothing short of a disaster.

The 27-year-old French winger joined the Tigers on loan from Newcastle on deadline day, having reportedly fallen out with Magpies boss Alan Pardew.

Yet having played just 384 minutes for Hull, it seems that he'll be heading for the KC Stadium exit, with their manager Steve Bruce also unhappy with the former Marseille star.

That leaves Ben Arfa's career in tatters at this point. Unwanted by Newcastle, unwanted by Hull. It's tough to see where he goes from here.

All his talent is going to waste of a combination of lack of effort, lack of fitness and poor attitude problems, but it seems that one team is still willing to take a chance on him.

According to reports in France, Nice are in talks with Ben Arfa over a January move to Claude Puel's side, but Canal+ don't state whether it would be a loan move or a free transfer.

A return to France could provide a spark for Ben Arfa, but at this point, his career is looking washed up - and could be a case of what could've been had he just applied himself.
