Gutierrez made an emotional return to action for Beardsley's side earlier today after being given the all clear from testicular cancer.
And the Under-21 boss was so impressed with him, he wants to keep him in his team for the duration of the campaign, although he believes he can return for Newcastle on the big stage.
Asked if he wants to see Gutierrez return to Premier League action, Beardsley is quoted as saying by the Newcastle Evening Chronicle: "Yes but that’s not my call.
“I love Jonas to bits. Being selfish, I want him to play for us all season. In terms of fitness, I don’t know what stage he is at. It’s not something we have talked about. However, he does look well.
“Jonas has always been very fit, which might sound silly given what he’s been through. He’s always been on to run around the field.
“I don’t know how far along he is to be honest. I was being selfish because I wanted to keep him on until we won the game.
“He’s knackered but fine. He wouldn’t be human if he wasn’t knackered and he will be sore tomorrow. It’s just a massive bonus to have him back.”
