Borussia Dortmund have wrapped up the signing of Red Bull Salzburg winger Kevin Kampl.
Tottenham have recently been linked with a £5m move to sign Red Bull Salzburg wing wonder Kevin Kampl, with manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly seeking a right winger in the January transfer window.
Southampton were also linked with Kampl in the last few weeks, but if their interest was legitimate, then both clubs will be disappointed to hear that he's already moved on.
The 24-year-old Slovenian international has been in sensational form in the Europa League, and whilst Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig were suggested as possible destinations for the German-born star, it's Borussia Dortmund who have sealed his signature.
'Kampl will sign a long-term contract with Borussia Dortmund, keeping him at the club until 2019. Both clubs agreed details of the transfer fee shall remain undisclosed,' they added.
"Kevin Kampl is a versatile attacking-midfielder, who we have been observing for some time. His style of play fits in perfectly with our own," said sporting director Michael Zorc.
Dortmund have struggled this season, and sit level on points with bottom club Freiberg having lost ten of their first 17 games this season, piling the pressure on manager Jurgen Klopp.
The hope will now be that new addition Kampl will provide them with a spark in the final third, which they have lacked since the loss of Robert Lewandowski this summer.
