Nicklas Bendtner has not found the instant success he was hoping for after finally flying the Arsenal nest.
The Danish international played a surprise role for the Gunners early in their 2013/14 campaign, having previously been out on loan at Sunderland and Juventus.
The striker fell back out of favour however and it was no surprise he was released in June, eventually landing a deal with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
A fantastic start it has not been however for the 26-year-old, who has struggled to win favour with his manager.
He has been named by German magazine SportBILD as one of the 'flops of the season', who describe his displays as 'disappointing'.
He has made only three Bundesliga starts all season, and six appearances from the bench, scoring once, and has made one Europa League start and three substitute showings, scoring twice.
All of his three goals have been from the bench, and he has not played 90 minutes since September.
Wolfsburg are currently second in the Bundesliga, albeit 11 points behind Bayern Munich, but right now it appears clear the striker is only a back-up for them, and he will have to hope to seize any opportunities he gets in 2015 to change his fortunes.
