Chelsea morning news: Boost ahead of Stoke clash, Mourinho on team rotation

Jose Mourinho Double

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is in line to return to the team against Stoke City this evening.

The Belgian has been missing recently due to a minor muscle problem.

“I can't confirm 100 per cent [that Courtois will be back], but I think so,” said Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho feels he doesn’t need to rotate his Chelsea squad.

Mourinho has used the same set of players consistently over a very busy first half of the season.

“It’s my decision. Players may not be happy or not agree with the decision, but they know my decision is not to favour somebody or to punish somebody,” said the boss.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has said that he feels the Blues will win the quadruple this season.

Chelsea are well placed on multiple fronts to win silverware by the end of the football year.

“I would have to say yes, they are strong enough. There will be some very good teams who will try and stand in the way but I don’t think where we are sat today you could argue that they’ve got no chance,” said Hughes.
