Chelsea are said to be tracking Brazilian rising star Malcolm Silva, but they may be losing the battle for his services to Barcelona.
The 17-year-old is seen by many as one Brazil's most exciting prospects for the future and a move to one of Europe's giants seems inevitable.
Silva has only just broken into the senior squad at Corinthians and has made 20 appearances this season, scoring twice, but his performances have excited scouts who feel he has what it takes to make it at the highest level.
The paper believes that Barcelona have already been offered first refusal on the young star and they would be expected to exercise that right.
However, Chelsea have good links in South America and could take advantage should Barcelona drag their feet over coming to an agreement.
Whichever club does sign Silva would be likely to send the gifted teenager out on loan to gain some experience of European football before giving him the chance to star for the first team.
