Rangers captain Lee McCulloch has thanked Ally McCoist for his time with the club after he was placed on gardening leave over the weekend.
McCoist's time with the club came to an end after three years at the helm as manager, on top of 15 years with Rangers during his playing career.
And skipper McCulloch had nothing but praise for the 52-year-old following his exit, thanking him for his efforts as coach and describing him as his 'hero' and a 'legend' for his playing days with the Scottish side.
"A big thanks to Ally McCoist for everything he's done for the club during the time we have worked together," McCulloch wrote on Sportlobster.
"We have won Leagues and Cups together and his efforts to take us forward have been incredible. He always did his best and that should never be forgotten.
"Ally was my hero when he was playing for Rangers and he will always be a legend in my eyes."
