Tottenham defeated Burnley 2-1 at White Hart Lane yesterday.
Tottenham's great week continued on Saturday, as their 2-1 victory over Burnley made it three wins in just six days for manager Mauricio Pochettino.
After beating Swansea 2-1 and Newcastle 4-0, the comfortable win over Burnley has once again underlined that Spurs are making positive strides under Pochettino.
In form striker Harry Kane opened the scoring for Spurs with a close range header, before Ashley Barnes smashed a stunning equaliser past Hugo Lloris for Burnley.
Yet Spurs did grab the win, with winger Erik Lamela cutting inside from the right and bending a superb shot into the corner - a goal which earned comparisons to Gareth Bale's strikes for Spurs.
Tottenham moved on to 27 points, four behind fourth placed West Ham United, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.
The players were delighted to eek out a narrow win having struggled to gain any sort of momentum at home this season, with a number of stars taking to Twitter to celebrate.
Great feeling to be back at WHL. A good result to make it 3 wins in a week #COYS— Kyle Walker (@kylewalker2) December 20, 2014
