Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane catches up with Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has scored as many goals in all competitions this season as Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal has.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane continued his recent run of great form on Saturday when he scored against Burnley at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old found the target from close range in the 21st minute when he headed in Nacer Chadli's left-wing cross (click here to read more).

After the match, which ended in a 2-1 win for Spurs, manager Mauricio Pochettino claimed that it is “becoming normal now that Harry Kane has scored”.

In fact, it is so “normal” of Kane to be scoring regularly that he has caught up with Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Chile international Sanchez, who joined the Gunners from Barcelona in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £35 million, has scored 14 goals in all competitions so far this season.

Kane’s strike against Burnley was his 14th of the campaign in all competitions.

Of course, it would be ridiculous to compare Kane to Sanchez - one is just starting out while the other is a world-class attacker - but it does underline just how good the England Under-21 international has been in recent weeks.
