QPR fans react on Twitter to Austin's performance against West Brom

Queens Park Rangers defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-2 on Saturday but what did fans make of the hosts' hat-trick hero Charlie Austin?

If Queens Park Rangers avoid relegation this season, Charlie Austin will receive plenty of thanks from the club's fans and hierarchy alike.

The 25-year-old scored a hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday to fire his side up to 15th in the Premier League table and take his tally for the season to 11 goals in 15 games.

It is a record the envy of many forwards in the game and there is no doubt QPR will be putting their faith in Austin for the second half of a campaign that could yet prove to be far more enjoyable than arduous.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp branded Austin's story "Roy of the Rovers stuff" and few could find a better way of describing his elevation from non-league to Premier League in a few short years.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what QPR fans made of Austin's performance and unsurprisingly they were full of praise for their goal-scoring hero.
