The 21-year-old was once again playing his role for Spurs in their 2-1 victory over Burnley at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Saturday.

Kane opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 21st minute, worked hard for the team, and could have scored a second goal.

Pochettino has hailed the youngster and believes that he is good enough to play for the England senior team.

“It's becoming normal now that Harry Kane has scored,” the Argentine told BBC Sport. “We are very happy with him. He worked very hard and scored a goal, which is very important for the striker.”

”I wish for my player the best but Harry has big potential and he's a big talent, why not?” said Pochettino when asked if Kane deserves an England call-up.

“If he continues to play in the same way, maybe the opportunity will come for him to play for the national team.”

England do not play an international game until March 2015, and if Kane continues to score goals and develop his game, then he will certain get his chance.

Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson has been promoting young players, and one suspects that he is certainly keeping a close eye on the progress of the Tottenham striker.
