Manchester United drew 1-1 with Aston Villa on Saturday and two of their players took to social media after the game.
Manchester United could not make it seven wins in a row as Aston Villa held them to a draw on Saturday.
Christian Benteke put Paul Lambert's side ahead in the first half and after a few changes from United boss Louis van Gaal Radamel Falcao netted his second goal since his summer move to ensure the match finished 1-1.
It still means United are on a fine undefeated run, while Villa can take great pride in their efforts and may have snatched the victory had David de Gea not continued his outstanding recent form.
After the match, United's players were unusually quiet on social media, perhaps suggesting that they saw this result as two points dropped rather than one point gained. But Ander Herrera and Robin van Persie did have their say on Twitter.
United's summer signing from Athletic Bilbao revealed that he was not involved on Saturday due to what he called "a little injury" but that he hoped to be back soon. While van Persie wrote, "Not the result we wanted. We go again v Newcastle on Boxing Day. Thanks for the great support."
While Manchester City pulled further clear of United they still look on to secure a place in the top four, and at the start of the season that would have been their main goal.
