Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela had one of his best games of the season against Burnley at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Back in the Spurs starting line-up, the Argentina international scored his first Premier League goal, which also proved to be the winner.
It was a brilliant strike as well, invoking memories of similar goals from Gareth Bale in years gone by.
As the stats below show, Lamela’s overall performance was also impressive, as he provided four key passes and won all three of the dribbles he attempted.

However, one should not get carried away with Lamela’s one truly brilliant performance against a promoted side who are struggling for Premier League survival.
The £30 million signing from AS Roma has been frustratingly inconsistent since his arrival in the Premier League in the summer of 2013.
This season, too, Lamela has struggled for consistency, playing brilliantly in one game and then poorly the next.
That 22-year-old Lamela has genuine potential cannot be disputed, but the Tottenham fans should not get carried away with his performance against Burnley.
