The World Cup winner has tipped his former side to reach next season's Champions League!

West Ham United legend Martin Peters believes that, if Sam Allardyce's side continue playing as they are, they will qualify for next season's Champions League.

The former West Ham midfielder and 1966 World Cup winner with England has been mightly impressed by the Hammers' progress so far this Premier League campaign.

And Peters thinks a top-four finish is not at all out of reach...

“They have been great this season,” the West Ham legend told the Daily Mirror. “Sam Allardyce has done well – he has bought some really good new players and done really well. They are doing the right things and are winning.

“I can see them carrying on and finishing in the top four if they continue the way they are playing and scoring the goals.

"Over Christmas, they have got Arsenal and Chelsea, so they have got some tough games coming up and they will tell us a lot - but they deserve to be fourth.

“Playing Champions League in the last season at Upton Park would be a great way to say goodbye to it.”
