The French under-21 international looks set to temporary leave the Gunners next month, having made just six appearances all season and racking up just 351 minutes of first-team football.
In that time Sanogo has scored one goal and provided two assists but the competition for places at Arsenal means he is unlikely to see much action if he remains at the Emirates Stadium after Christmas.
Following reports on Friday that the 21-year-old was set for a loan move, the latest story claims Aston Villa, Sunderland and Crystal Palace are interested in signing the player.
The same report claims clubs across Europe are monitoring the situation but surely Arsene Wenger would prefer to see what his young forward can do on loan in the English top flight if at all possible.
Sanogo has been a regular scorer for his country at a number of different levels, netting 18 goals in 18 games for France’s under-16s and currently having three goals in eight appearances for the under-21s.
