The Leeds defender says he misses the Ipswich striker's 'shocking banter.'

Leeds United defender Stephen Warnock admits he does miss Ipswich striker Noel Hunt.

The forward left Leeds on loan to join up with Mick McCarthy at Ipswich Town - and comments the striker has made since suggest he does not intend to return to Elland Road.

Warnock, however, says he misses the 'great guy' and 'loved' listening to him everyday.

When asked if he missed the Ipswich Town loanee, the 33-year-old replied on BeanBagSports: "Yes his banter is shocking and loved listening to him everyday. Great guy."

Meanwhile, the Leeds defender also praised current boss Neil Redfearn for 'steadying the ship' and believes new assistant manager Steve Thompson 'must be a good coach' if Redfearn rates him so highly.

"He's [Redfearn] really good. Steadied the ship in the way he wants things done. Good to have a man who knows the clubs and its values as well," Warnock said.

"I hope so and if Redders has brought him in he must be a good coach and someone who he feels will take the club forward."
