Southampton overcame Everton 3-0 on Saturday courtesy of an own-goal from Romelu Lukaku and strikes from Graziano Pelle and Maya Yoshida.
The Saints took the lead seven minutes before half-time when Lukaku put through his own net shortly after Shane Long had a good shout for a penalty. And it would get worse for Roberto Martinez's men when Pelle doubled the hosts' lead 20 minutes into the second half.
Yoshida ensured there was no way back for Everton when he headed home with eight minutes remaining.
Southampton have endured a torrid run in recent times having lost Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Burnley and Sheffield United. But they are now back to winning ways, ending the day fifth in the table while Everton remain 10th.
