Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has sent a tweet to Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke as the two sides prepare to face each other this afternoon.
The Belgian international teammates would have no doubt liked to go head-to-head at Villa Park, but Fellaini confirmed he will take no part in the action.
"Hello my friend Christian Benteke," the United star wrote. "Good news for you I don't play today. Good luck my team."
Fellaini has been nothing short of a revelation this season, earning the respect of the Old Trafford faithful after starting regularly for United boss Louis van Gaal.
The former Everton player has made 11 appearances for United this season and has started the last eight - the last six of which they have won.
Ander Herrera is likely to step in for Fellaini as United look to make it seven wins in a row, but Villa's Benteke will have other ideas, and he will hope to have the last laugh come the final whistle.
