Leeds United news: Lewis Cook on performance, refereeing decisions and away form

The 17-year-old was reflecting on his side's 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest.

Lewis Cook believes Leeds United did well to come away with a point at the City Ground on Saturday evening after a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Forest took the lead through Matty Fryatt but Billy Sharp converted a second-half penalty against his former side, with the Championship contest eventually finishing all square.

And Cook felt Leeds played well and exploited the luck that came their way at Forest, ensuring they avoided yet another away defeat this season.

“Some of the decisions the ref made people may feel went our way [two Nottingham Forest goals were ruled offside]," the 17-year-old Leeds star told Sky Sports after the game.

“I thought we played well, I thought they were a good team with fast players.

“It was a tough game but you need that luck in football. The point came our way. Our away form hasn’t been that good recently. But I thought we did well to get the point in the end.”
