A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…

Leeds United take on Nottingham Forest in today’s late kick-off, with Neil Redfearn’s men looking to get back to winning ways and Stuart Pearce’s side aiming to get closer to the top six.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Leeds full-back Stephen Warnock is expected to be fit for the match, while Rudy Austin and Giuseppe Bellusci will both have fitness tests prior to the game.

Forest are being tipped to play an unchanged side for the encounter.

In other news, Redfearn has been speaking about the prospect of Leeds bringing in new players next month despite the club’s current transfer embargo.

In quotes published by the Yorkshire Evening Post the manager said, “We’ve still got the facility to bring some signings in. There’s an embargo but we’ve identified areas we need to strengthen.

“I spoke to Massimo (Cellino) about the potential players we could get so we’re well aware of all that. It’s being dealt with.”

An experienced central midfielder and a new striker are the two types of player most heavily linked with a January move to Elland Road if at all possible.
