Ledley King reacts on Twitter to Tottenham win, praises Erik Lamela

The £30 million Spurs winger was the subject of praise from the former centre-back.

A question Tottenham Hotspur fans may be asking themselves this morning is 'was that worth the wait?'

That, of course, being Erik Lamela's wondergoal against Burnley yesterday afternoon - which was his first ever in the Premier League.

Many will say yes, while some will undoubtedly ask why the Argentine couldn't have produced the goods sooner.

There was no doubting the quality of the strike itself, though, with Lamela cutting inside - a favourite move of his - and absolutely lashing home into the far bottom corner.

One man who was impressed with the 22-year-old was former Tottenham centre-back Ledley King, who has just joined Twitter.

And it was on the social media site that King congratulated Lamela on his wonderstrike, as well as praising the Spurs team as a whole.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have now found their feet in the top flight, it seems, and Leicester City await them on Boxing Day.

Afer that, though, Manchester United and Chelsea lie in wait...
